SKELETON COAST
by John H Marsh
Now we are crossing the Namib, the oldest desert on the Earth, and the most fascinating challenging and rewarding to the scientists who come from all parts of the world to study its unique structure and plant and animal life. To our left, in the Namib-Naukluft Park, are the highest sand dunes in the world, real mountains of sand that reach up to 1000 meters high.
