SKELETON COAST

As our plane heads northwards we see the never ending battle for supremacy going on between the sand and the sea, with the sand winning.
The winds from the interior bring the desert sands to the sea and they spill down the sand cliffs into the water, forcing it
further westward.
We can see how steep is the shore's plunge to the sea floor from the fact that the waves break
only when they are almost upon the sand cliffs.
